Whether you have Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or Davinci Resolve, this effective plug in can remove flicker/rolling bands from slow motion footage, time lapses, LED lights, TVs, etc. It has saved quite a lot of footage of mine in which I didn't recognize that there were rolling horizontal bands caused by different light sources in the shot, and I couldn't go reshoot, so this accurately and efficiently helped me to get rid of them so I could deliver quality footage to my clients. On some of the examples in the video I noticed that YouTube compression actually lessens how much you can see the rolling bands, but nevertheless, they're there if you have Legolas eyes. How To Fix Screen Flickering While Watching YouTube Videos In Google Chrome, Brave Browser, & Microsoft Edge In this video I will show you how to stop your screen from flickering while watching YouTube videos. This issue is prevalent in Chromium-based browsers such as Google Chrome, Opera, Brave Browser, and Microsoft Edge. Steps To Fix Screen Flickering While Watching YouTube Videos In Chromium-based browsers: 1. Open your Chromium browser of choice. 2. Navigate to the top right hand corner and left click on "Customize and control (your browser name here)". Customize and control is at the top right hand corner of your browser and is displayed as one of the following icons depending on your browser: Microsoft Edge = Three horizontal dots Brave Browser = Three vertical lines Google Chrome = Three vertical dots 3. Click on "Settings" 4. A new tab will open taking you into your browser settings. Find a magnifying glass icon or a search box and type the word "hardware" without the quotations. 5. You should now see System settings with three togglable options. Toggle off the system setting "Use hardware acceleration when available". 6. Have flickering LED lights showing up in your video footage? This quick premiere pro trick will show you how to get rid of flickering background lights fast. Wondering why your footage has flickering lights in it to begin with? You probably didn't have your camera set with the right framerate, OR your shutter speed wasn't in sync with the rate of the LED lights. LED lights turn on and off several times a second, so if your camera isn't in sync with this, you'll have some frames with the lights on and some with the lights off - causing them to flicker. While this trick won't work for EVERY flickering light situation, it will definitely help you minimize the distraction of flickering lights in the background of your video footage and is pretty quick and simple to do!

If you're getting ready to film something with your DSLR or any other camera that gives you manual control over your settings and you see that the image is flickering, the fix is usually simple. Increase or decrease your shutter speed until the flicker is gone. Not all light is continuous. Some light, especially florescent, LED and other artificial lighting, uses pulses of light. If you find yourself shooting video in one of these types of light, there is a couple things you can do to fix your image. As mentioned above, you can simply move your shutter speed up or down. You don't usually have to move very far from your original shutter speed in order to fix the flickering light. In this video you'll see I get good results at 1/40 and 1/60. Both are only one step away from my default of 1/50th. In general nobody will notice a difference. But they will notice the image flickering so that choice to stray from the 180 degree shutter rule is not a difficult one in this case. You can also change your frame rate but this can be less effective and it also involves a different shutter speed. In our case we would have to increase our frame rate and shutter to something higher than we are already using and this would make it more difficult to get a proper exposure. In addition, you will likely have much more work to do or experience issues in post production when you mix frame rates. My advice would be to stick to using your shutter to solve your flickering issue.
