This is one of the most common questions Venn Healthcare have from clinicians on shockwave therapy - What is the difference between radial & focused shockwaves? In this video, we will discuss the difference between Radial vs Focus Shockwave Therapy. Did you know Focused and Radial shockwave therapies differ not only regarding their physical properties and mode of generation, but also in terms of the magnitude of the standard parameters such as pressure amplitude, pulse duration, impact used, and the therapeutic tissue penetration depths achieved. The radial pressure wave is the most common type of shockwave therapy, used in most MSK clinics. However, in recent times, due to the increased treatment options, treatment depth, treatment precision, and patient comfort in more acute cases, focused shockwave therapies are growing in popularity. The radial pressure wave is mainly suitable for larger treatment areas of superficial indications, with 3 to 4 cm treatment depth. It has slow impulse and low energy density. In contrast, Focused Shockwaves provides a Smaller focal point for greater accuracy and greater treatment depth of up to 12cm. Its fast impulse and high energy density offer Precise energy delivery to the exact area. Here’s how they both work: The radial shockwave comprises three parts – Ultrasonic pulse, audio acoustic pulse, and the relatively slow shear wave. The pressure waves lose power the deeper they enter the body. Focused shockwaves can penetrate deeper into the tissues and provides all of their power at the designated depth. Focused shockwaves are generated electromagnetically through a cylindrical coil creating opposing magnetic fields when current is applied. Here are their biological effects: Both kinds of therapies, Increase the cell wall permeability, Stimulate Microcirculation, Release the Substance P Neurotransmitter responsible for pain modulation, and are powerful vasodilator, causing considerable hypotension. The Focused shock waves offer extra Cavitation Release of nitric oxide meaning increased cell metabolism, neoangiogenesis, tissue regeneration, and Stimulation of growth factors, all essential for optimal tissue healing. Focused shockwaves have also been shown to aid stem cell proliferation in regenerative medicine. Some Focused shockwave treatments include Acute injuries in elite athletes, Knee & Joint arthritis, Bone and Stress Fractures, Erectile dysfunction, Shin Splints, Osteitis Pubis -Groin Pain, Insertional Achilles Pain, and many more. A combination of focused and radial shockwaves has also proven to be effective and has shown outstanding results in the patients. Radial shock wave is the most common type of shockwave therapy, used in most clinics. However, Focused shock wave is growing in popularity, due to the increased treatment options, treatment depth, treatment precision and patient comfort in more acute cases. Focused and Radial shockwaves differ not only in regard to their physical properties and mode of generation, but also in terms of the magnitude of the standard parameters (pressure amplitude, pulse duration, impact) used and the therapeutic tissue penetration depths achieved. According to usage and treatment needs, the doctor needs to prefer the right device. Orthopaedists, Physiotherapists and Urologists are using both devices but Focused ESWT devices’ effectivity is higher than Radial models, nevertheless Orthopaedists and Physiotherapists are mostly using radial models because of the economical price. Inceler Medikal produces both Focused & Radial model ESWT devices, and as urologist are preferring focused devices for the treatment of diseases like Erectile Dysnfunction and peyronie’s disease, radial devices are most succesful for applications in orthopedy such as achilles tendon, bone fracture treatment, plantar fasciitis. Device principle choice is completely depending on the doctor preference. 👉🤍 Contact us now: 📧 sales🤍incelermedikal.com ☎️ +90 549 255 3345 #eswt #shockwave# shockwavetherapy #radialvsfokus #RadialVsFocusShockwave

In this video on UroChannel, urologist and sexologist from Göttingen, Dr. med. Dr. phil. Stefan Buntrock discusses his experience treating erectile dysfunction (ED) with low-intensity shockwave therapy (ESWT). Shockwave treatment is the only method with the potential for cure when it comes to organic erectile dysfunction. While the FDA has not yet approved ESWT for ED, Buntrock shares his treatment protocol, which includes using focused shockwaves with an electromagnetic shockwave generator and combining ESWT with Tadalafil. He notes that the efficacy of shockwaves varies between patients and can depend on the severity of ED, but he has seen positive results in mild to moderate cases and in ED caused by pelvic floor overactivity. Buntrock also discusses recent recommendations from the European Association of Urology guidelines. Shockwave therapy for men's sexual health and urological conditions - Erectile dysfunction (ED), Peyronie's disease and Chronic pelvic pain, how does it work, what to expect, and what does it feel like? This animation answers all of your questions. For further info: 🤍 For practitioners interested in shockwave devices: 🤍 Storz Medical Urology: 🤍 Copyright© 2021 Venn Healthcare You may not know this, but one-third of the UK’s adult male population have experienced erectile dysfunction. So there’s a firm basis for the phrase “don’t worry, this happens to a lot of guys”. What’s even more amazing is that when things don’t quite stand to attention like they once did more than 50% of those men won’t seek help or advice. When it comes to physical intimacy Erectile dysfunction can really throw a spanner in the works, it naturally creates stress, embarrassment and in some cases can even lead to anxiety and depression. You’ll likely be familiar with a few treatment options, but, if you’re unable to take non-essential medication (possibly due to an existing condition), or, if you feel that a pump goes some way to deflating the spontaneity of sex then you’ll find the next 60 seconds very interesting. There are a number of factors that can contribute to problems with impotency, including: High blood pressure or cholesterol Diabetes Heart disease Being overweight or lacking physical exercise And being over a certain age (although it can happen at any age) A lack of stiffness downstairs often stems from two physical causes, a restriction of blood flow into the vessels needed to create an erection and a lack of tension that results in the blood escaping back into the rest of the body. The waves of pressure generated by a focused shockwave device improve blood flow by dissolving plaque build-up whilst simultaneously promoting the formation of new blood vessels, helping to treat the root cause. The treatment pathway is simple, once you have a medical diagnosis we’ll hold a short consultation in which we establish how severe your condition might be, from here we can suggest an appropriate number of treatment sessions. And if you don’t have a formal diagnosis, we can help there too Lots of men are pointing towards shockwave as a solution to erectile dysfunction, and there’s a lot to like about the treatment! It has no downtime, It’s pain free And comes with no known side-effects, Each session only takes 20 minutes and is totally non-invasive, But most importantly, it’s completely drug-free While results may vary, typically patients will notice some change within a few weeks of starting treatment, but with the most significant changes occurring after 6 - 8 weeks, and if you address the underlying causes of your ED, such as high blood pressure or excess weight, then the results can be permanent. You may be interested to know that we also offer derivations of the treatment to effectively address both Peyronie's Disease and Chronic Pelvic Pain.

Shockwave therapy for knee pain is a very effective and efficient way to help manage painful knee symptoms. Shockwave therapy delivers high energy sounds waves into the injured tissues which causes an inflammatory response from the body. This inflammation produced by the body via the shockwaves helps the injured area regenerate, and increases the formation of blood vessels (creates new capillaries). This improvement in blood flow to the area allows for more oxygen, nutrients, etc. to be delivered to the injured area. Shockwave therapy also has an analgesic effect. The acoustic waves disperse pain mediating neurotransmitters in the area. This means that the pain signals in the nerves are not able to send the signal (Pain!) to our spinal cord/brain. With less pain, we can then challenge the injured area more effectively with rehab exercises which will ultimately strengthen and bolster the injured area. With all shockwave therapy, we utilize loading exercises which result in further strengthening of the injured area which results in further improvement in the injured structures. For knee pain, it is important to load the quadriceps tendon, patellar tendon, and other muscles/tendons that surround the knee. Knee pain can be due to many different causes. Shockwave therapy for patellar tendinopathy or shockwave therapy for patellar tendinitis is one of the most effective treatment options. Patellar tendon injuries are often long standing, have poor blood supply and the tendon is usually weakened to a degree. Shockwave for patellar tendinitis helps promote further blood flow, and beneficial inflammation to the area while the loading exercises strengthen and support the tendon to make the pain go away permanently. Interested in shockwave therapy for your chronic pain? Good, you should be. 00:00 Intro 01:04 What Shockwave Can Be Used For 01:21 4 Things Shockwave Therapy Does 03:17 Testing Kate's Shoulder 05:17 Marking Adhesion 07:33 Treating with Shockwave Therapy 09:13 The Frozen Shoulder "Spot" 11:07 Re-testing Kate's Shoulder Barefoot Rehab, New Jersey's Premier Non-Surgical Chronic Pain Clinic (45 minutes outside of New York City) started using Shockwave Therapy in October, 2021, and the results have been a significant upgrade in the already awesome permanent relief results we get our patients. Before we discuss shockwave therapy, we have to discuss the PROBLEM. Shockwave therapy is amazing, but only for the right problems and the right patients. Ask yourself, "What's your diagnosis?" Just because you have a golden hammer doesn't mean that you can use it on screws and nuts. Hammers only work on nails. THE PROBLEM: #1 Cause of Chronic Pain for 30-50 Year Olds Barefoot Rehab is clinic in Denville, NJ (45 mins outside of New York City) that specializes in PERMANENT pain relief for people who have had pain: - over 6 months - seen 3+ doctors or therapists WITHOUT relief We do this without surgery, injections, or medications. How? We are the ONLY Clinic in New Jersey certified to find and fix the most common cause of chronic pain that 9 out of 10 of our patients have never heard of. It's kinda like GLUE in your muscles called ADHESION. Because adhesion is: - all over most individuals and most of their body parts - is hardly addressed by pain doctors - requires a ridiculous amount of training to get good at it (which we've done and continue to do) ... we focus 90% of our treatment plans on THIS NAIL adhesion. You may have noticed the "30-50 years old" line above. People older than 50 have tons of adhesion too. The problem is, they have also lived enough life with their adhesion that they have significant levels of arthritis (aka "wear and tear" aka "joint degeneration"), which lowers the percentage of permanent relief we can promise. Adhesion is Barefoot Rehab's Bread and Butter. This is the problem we fix. In the past, we've used: - Manual Adhesion Release (hands) - Instrument Adhesion Release (instrument) This treatment has served our patients well, but it had limits. Shockwave therapy has additional benefits to removing adhesion: 1. Releases stem cells (very helpful in reversing joint degeneration) 2. Promotes new blood vessel growth 3. Autophagy (eats old or "senecescent" cells) The research on shockwave therapy has been used successful in the research on pubmed.gov for: - plantar fasciitis fasciosis - achilles tendinitis tendinosiis - avascular necrosis of the femoral head - lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) - calcific or non-calcific tendinitis of the shoulder - patellar tendinopathy - reflex sympathetic dystrophy (RSD) - osteoarthritis of the knee - trapezius pain If you want to pursue shockwave therapy, make sure your treating doctor follows the principles that Dr. Chris shares in the video! ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Iff you’ve been in chronic pain for 6+ months, and have seen at least 3+ other providers with no permanent results for your pain, it’s time to try something different.
