Video designed to support my students with lower power computers. Using the TTS-1 as a multi-timbral instrument; using one instance of it and multiple MIDI channels, seriously cuts down on CPU power. It is also frequently overlooked with many preferring to plug a new instance of this powerful virtual instrument into each track. Video goes through setting up a Cakewalk Project for MIDI sequencing, how to configure the TTS-1 with multiple tracks; using MIDI channels and recording a simple 4 track, 5 bar loop. Created on a low-budget laptop using OBS, onboard mic and camera; apologies, the audio drops out here and there, but it all makes sense; I checked it over. My problem was caused by the effects over taxing the CPU or the audio interface. Solution: don't record with any effects on master bus etc. btw. The video after being posted didn't sync the audio correctly. Shut off your master channel plugins and see if it helps. Latency could also be helped by selecting the fastest buffer size your computer will allow. To adjust the buffer size go to Preferences / Audio / Driver settings.

This can be very useful when you want to split your MIDI notes to a new MIDI track or region in Cakewalk by BandLab, but you don't want to copy/paste all of those notes one by one or lane by lane. Learn how to use Cakewalk by Bandlab, a free DAW. This Cakewalk by Bandlab tutorial for beginners will teach you the basics of the digital audio workstation. I go over the layout including the playlist, piano roll, and mixer, as well as what most things do. I also talk about setting the DAW up so you can record at the right bit depth and sample rate, import your VST plugins, and get your samples and loops in the software too. Previously called Sonar, this digital audio workstation was made free when it was acquired by Bandlab. Although a new company owns it, it's still the same DAW (Cakewalk Sonar Platinum), just with some updates.
